Turns Out Marc-Andre Fleury Has Some Dirty Dangles
Granted, it was against a bunch of mites but still. This clip brings back some golden memories of playing NHL Hitz and trying to score as many goals as possible with your tendy. Which brings me to my main point here–why in the friggin’ heck aren’t goalies allowed to skate the puck out during play? I get it’s probably not the smartest decision in the world but when you’ve got somebody like MAF who has these kind of moves in his arsenal…
Then you gotta let the man spin. I don’t care what competition he is going up against. Those moves don’t just go away if you’re playing against guys who have lost all their baby teeth.
We’ve already seen the NHL change a few rules this week. Which is why I think we need to take a serious look at the goaltender interference rule. I think as long as the goalie is in the crease, they shouldn’t be allowed to get touched. But as soon as they come out of the net, they should be fair game. That way there should be no issue with somebody like Fleury taking the puck out and starting a rush himself. NHL Hitz 2002 was the greatest hockey game ever released. That was 15 years ago. I have no idea why its taken us this long to get our act together and start making the game real life.
